Ways to Handle Stress

Try to figure out how much stress you can take.  When your brain feels like it's on overload, take a break.  Relax.  Use positive methods to get a grip on stress.  Here are a few suggestions.

1.  TALK ABOUT IT: Don't be afraid to ask for help!  There are plenty of people who will talk with you.  You may try asking family, friends, teachers, and school counselors.

2.  GET SOME EXERCISE:  Regular physical activity is a sure-fire method to help reduce that stress in your head.  Try activities such as dancing, bike riding, hiking, karate, or sports.

3.  DEAL WITH IT:  Just because you feel out of control, it doesn't mean you are.  Try to deal with your angers and frustrations.  Take it one day at a time.  No need to freak out!

4.  DON'T GIVE UP!  Stress is a fact of life these days.  There's no way to avoid it.  The trick is not to let it overpower your life!

Remember:  YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
